The duo of Ignacio Córdoba and Sara Persico debuts with an album that testify the enticing chemistry of their music. The voice’s experimental and spontaneous approach evolves together with the oscillator and electronics throughout emblematic patterns, repetitions and refractions. Córdoba and Persico met in Italy in 2017 and recorded the first album in June 2018 in Berlin, a few days after their first concert.
The track “I” is a soft and disturbing intro of a four-part-album’s exploration towards perception and memory. The layered, immersive and deeply visceral sonic voyage becomes mesmerizing with the oscillating warm frequencies during the part “II”.
Córdoba, which has established himself as able and persistent sound explorer with the album Sequential Thought / Shattered Memories, delineates its ethereal vibrating noises among articolate maps. Persico’s vocal approach, mixed with samplers and machines,
here is minimalist and deconstructive, an ego’s denial, dissecting melodies while drowning her voice in sound (part “IV”). The narrative of the album presents a theater of the feeling, with affective potential and ability to disorientate, evoke uncertain images and visions.
